Opinione:
La vicenda da cui si parte non è nuova: si trovano dei manufatti alieni e degli scienziati decidono di investigare.
Quel che succede poi, si può immaginare. Però la nostra immaginazione di lettori si ferma qui.
Reynolds sa scrivere e sa intrecciare storie e trame. Calato in un contesto in cui il viaggio interstellare ha i limiti che la fisica ci impone, ecco che far incrociare vicende che si svolgono su pianeti diversi diventa complicato. Eppure la lettura non cede mai né il ritmo né l’interesse.
Ho adorato l’intero ciclo (compreso il quarto della serie e soprattutto il racconto ispiratore, Galactic North, che ha una raccolta con l’omonimo titolo), tanto da rileggerlo poi in italiano. Ammetto infatti che se mi era piaciuto in originale, in Italiano mi son reso conto di essermi perso tantissime sfumature.
